What’s the difference between a king and his horse?2:34 May 30th, 2012 | 1 note
”I don’t mean kiddy shit like “One’s a person and one’s an animal” or “One has two legs and one has four.” If their form, ability and power were exactly the same, why is it that one becomes the king and controls the battle, while the other becomes the horse and carries the king?! There’s only one answer. Instinct! In order for identical beings to get stronger and gain the power they need to become king, they must search for more battles and power! They thirst for battle, and live to mercilessly, crush, shred, and slice their enemies! Deep, deep within our body lies the honed instinct to kill, and slaughter our enemies! But you don’t have that! You don’t have those pure, base instincts! You fight with your brain. You try to defeat your enemies with logic! And it doesn’t work! You’re trying to cut them with a sheathed sword! That’s why you’re weaker than me, Ichigo!” Endless Love: Autumn In My Heart9:05 May 14th, 2012 | 1 note
Yea. I definitely cried my eyes out on this one. This is the first Endless Love drama that Yoon Seuk-Ho directed in 2000. So it’s very old and definitely one of the classics of Korean drama. A little background from me, I watched the Hmong-dubbed (the classic Nkauj See & Tsim Meej) when I was in middle school with my cousins so this drama holds a special place in my childhood and heart.
Fast-forward to a few years, the handsome actor Song Seung-Heon stars as Joon-Suh. I really like his hair in this one compared to Summer Scent. I also like this role compared to Summer Scent because he was a selfish man for once. He’s still the artistic painter from his teen years, he’s engaged now to Yumi. Shin-ae is still an evil bish, played by the beautiful Han Chae-Young. I gotta say, she plays a pretty good bish and may I never want to see that role again. Joon-Suh’s best friend is played by the amazing Won Bin. He’s sooooo very attractive in this drama. I really liked his role in this one because at first he’s the rich playboy and in the end, he transforms to become somewhat patient and considerate of others. Obviously, there’s the many love triangles, never gets old -_- Relationships: Joon-Suh & Eun-Suh. Beautiful. I support their relationship because obviously, they aren’t blood-related so they could fall in love but the thought of them ‘used-to-be-siblings’ is kinda uncomfortable but I thought of it as maybe they could be compared to childhood friends :) I hated hated hated hated the point where Joon-Suh leaves Eun-Suh for Yumi.
Talking about Yumi. I hated her. End of story. I disliked her weak character where she ‘can’t live without Joon-Suh’. I wanted to punch her face and tell her to wake up. And then, she commits suicide and apologizes to Eun-Suh that she didn’t want things to be this way. Fuuucckkk her. Another thing I hated about her was whenever she cried, ‘What do I do?’ Woman! Get your act together! But, she deserved it when Joon-Suh leaves her :) She didn’t deserve him. Eun-Suh & Tae-Suk. I actually approved of this relationship :) He was willing to do anything for her. Come on, if a handsome man like him said he would be willing to do anything for me, I’d be with him… unfortunately, he had a temper and drinking problems. Not too bad because everyone has that problem so it can be fixed. Last words, he was just so sexy. And then leukemia happens. Typical Korean drama… I felt everything went well except for the part where Joon-Suh becomes crazy. He should’ve been there with her after he found out so he wouldn’t have been WASTING TIME! Common sense -_- But, I’m very glad they got to spend time together when she woke up from the coma. That… was good.
One of my favorite heartbreaking scenes is the scene of her sitting by the tree, crying and calling for ‘oppa’ ♥ The agony of missing someone so dearly, being alone in the world with no one there with you. I’ve been through it. So after the drama, I became kinda depressed… currently healing. I’m the kind to become depressed after dramas. Small, weird habit of mines :\ All I can say is… Poor Eun-Suh… :( Endless Love: Summer Scent4:57 May 13th, 2012 | 0 notes
So, for the past few weeks, I’ve started to finish the Endless Love Korean dramas by Yoon Seok-Ho. Winter Love, Summer Scent and Autumn In My Heart were the dramas that I’ve seen during my teenage years. Unfortunately, I didn’t watch them to its entirety and they were in Hmong-dubbed. For the three of them, I’ve only seen the beginnings, missed the middle and seen the endings. For Spring Waltz, I have never seen the drama. I don’t think it was that popular… but I’ll give it a try :)
So, recently I just finished Summer Scent :) “This is an inspirational love story for everyone who dreams of pure and innocent love.” - Netflix. I truly agree with that because it is truly ‘innocent’ and ‘pure’. It’s one of my favorite dramas because Son Ye Jin is my favorite Korean actress. In the drama, she is such an innocent person. There’s also minor soft kiss scenes in the drama. The romance itself is so pure. I just love the idea of how you can recognize your true love by each other’s hearts. It’s truly a miracle and so symbolic. That’s how innocent the drama is. Not saying it’s a bad thing.
